🌿 The Hana (The Practice)
At Ka Hana Pono, puzzles are more than play. They invite keiki to slow down, concentrate, and approach challenges one step at a time — just like in life.
🌱 What Children Learn
Through puzzles, children practice problem-solving, spatial awareness, and hand-eye coordination. They learn perseverance as they fit each piece into place and experience the joy of accomplishment when the picture is complete.
💛 Connection to Social-Emotional Learning
Working on puzzles side by side also encourages collaboration and patience. Keiki learn to share pieces, wait for their turn, and celebrate each other’s successes. These moments strengthen empathy and build confidence.
🌺 Connection to ʻĀina
Many of our puzzles reflect the natural world — animals, plants, and familiar places — connecting children’s learning to the environment around them. Even indoors, keiki are reminded of their bond with ʻāina.
✨ Living in Pono
Piece by piece, keiki discover that challenges are opportunities, not obstacles. At Ka Hana Pono, puzzles help nurture resilience, patience, and balance — values that ripple out far beyond the classroom.
