Every Child Has a Song Inside 🎶✨

“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.” — Plato

🌿 The Hana (The Practice)

Music is woven into our daily rhythm at Ka Hana Pono. Keiki are encouraged to explore instruments, sing, and discover the joy of sound as expression.

🌱 What Children Learn

Playing the keyboard or drum isn’t just fun — it strengthens coordination, builds memory, and sparks creativity. Music helps keiki find their voice, even before words can.

💛 Connection to Social-Emotional Learning

Music is a language of the heart. Through singing and rhythm, keiki learn to listen to each other, share space, and express feelings that words can’t always hold.

🌺 Connection to ʻĀina

The sounds of our classroom flow with the sounds of the land — the rustle of wind, the rhythm of waves, the calls of manu (birds). Music at Ka Hana Pono connects keiki to this larger harmony.

✨ Living in Pono

We’re grateful to have Uncle Bison, a professional musician, singer, and songwriter, guiding our program. His gift for weaving music into daily life helps keiki discover that they, too, carry songs inside them — and sharing those songs brings balance and joy.
