We made these fun bird sandwiches for a Thanksgiving party last year and they were a huge hit 🙂  They are super easy to make, yummy, and fun to do with the kids.  Below is the original recipe….Enjoy!!

Ingredients:

  1. Bread (original recipe used cocktail pumpernickel bread)

  2. Vegetable Cream Cheese

Decorations:

  1. Peas (eyes)

  2. Red Pepper

  3. Pepperoni

  4. Cheese

  5. Cashew

  6. Slivered Almond

  7. Parsley

Instructions:

  1. For each sandwich, spread vegetable cream cheese between 2 slices of bread

  2. For the head, use a small drinking glass or round cookie cutter to cut a circle from another slice of bread, then stick it to the top of the sandwich with a dab of cream cheese.

  3. Add facial features such as pea eyes, a red pepper or pepperoni snood (above the beak), and a pepper, cheese or cashew beak.

  4. Wedge pepper, slivered almond, or parsely sprig feathers between the bread slices.
