Worms and Wiggly Friends

  2. Little Walter Worm (finger play using a small plastic cup with a finger sized hole

Little Walter Worm, In a hole in the ground,

(child has hand inside the cup)

Wiggles to the top

(pop finger out of the hole)

And smiles and looks around.

(move finger to look around)

The he wiggles quickly down again, Nibbling on the way,

(child wiggles finger adown through hole)

And curls up, sound asleep,

(curl finger around, inside cup)

After such a busy day!

And so she made a safe cocoon, From her toes up to her head.

“I’m restless,” said the caterpillar. “I want to leap so high”

She left her cocoon and what do you know? She was a butterfly.
