This is an educational parody of the Thrift Shop music video by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

It was created by students ages 12 & 13 as part of Maui Huliau Foundation’s Huliau Environmental Filmmaking Club.

MHF worked with four students to write the lyrics which focus on Hawaii’s extreme dependence on imported food and goods.

The lyrics the students wrote were rapped by Brendan O’Colmain and recorded in Maui Wave Studio.

Students from the program then filmed and edited the film at various locations on Maui. Funding for this film came from CDF Engineering and CDF Solar.
